Murray Van Halem has been a visual artists for over 40 years starting his arts career as a large-format commercial photographer. He has worked as a photojournalist, portrait photographer, magazine editor and writer.
After devoting over 20 years to the real estate industry, he is once again focusing on visual arts; painting in oils, pastels and watercolour.
Murray works and lives on Georgian Bay in Ontario, Canada.
